It’s no secret that life can be busy for all of us. Each day we are met with a to-do list that only grows as we check things off, receive constant notifications that require a timely response, and some days, we just run around putting out fires. And all of these leaves us to simply go through the motions of the day, sort of—drifting. And reacting to our circumstances rather than creating our lives with deliberate intention. Not thinking at all about the law of attraction, or the laws of the universe in general.
Which, of course, leaves us with this emptiness. Because we were born to be creators of our reality. And this vital need is missing from our experience. Yet, the Laws of the Universe are still very much in play. And are around us all the time. Attempting to co-create with us, but if we aren’t creating with intention, and we believe that “life just happens”, then it will.
So, if you’ve ever felt that life is happening to you rather than for you, I want you to know that one, you are not alone, and two, this blog is for you. And, I mean it when I say you’re not alone. Recent studies on happiness and fulfillment have shown that nearly 70% of people report feeling like passive participants in their own lives rather than active creators of their experience.
But…
Here’s the life-changing truth that Earl Nightingale called “The Strangest Secret”: You become what you think about.
The law of attraction is just that. It’s a law. Just like the law of gravity, or the law of inertia. The law of attraction is a natural law of the universe, proven by physics. Yet, so many people don’t truly understand it, or even believe it.
Which is unfortunate because the Law of Attraction is one of the most essential for us to understand. Because it allows us to be in constant relationship and collaboration with the universe as we build our reality in harmony with it. Because the energy we put into the universe through our thoughts, emotions, and beliefs magnetizes matching experiences back to us. This is the heart of the law of attraction, and it operates with unwavering consistency, whether we’re conscious of it or not. Every thought we persistently hold begins to create our reality.
When you deeply understand this principle, you’ll begin to recognize that you’ve been using this law your entire life. Perhaps just not in the way you’d consciously choose. For example, those persistent worries about not having enough money? They’re attracting more financial stress. That constant focus on feeling lonely? It’s creating more isolation. But just as easily, your thoughts of abundance create prosperity, your focus on loving connections manifests beautiful relationships, and your gratitude for health allows you to wake up everyday feeling like a million bucks.
The most remarkable aspect of the Law of Attraction isn’t just that it works, but that it works with absolute precision. Because the Law of Attraction responds not to what you say you want, but to the energy you consistently embody. And, it’s also important to realize that this universal law doesn’t distinguish between “positive” and “negative” thoughts—it simply matches your dominant vibrational frequency with experiences of the same quality.
So, living with an awareness of the Law of Attraction means you’re no longer at the mercy of your external circumstances. Instead, you become the conscious creator of your experience, aligning your inner world with your desired outer reality. You realize that your inner thoughts become physical things, and you can shape those to be whatever you desire.
This shift from reactivity to conscious creation will transform not just your own experience, but will also radiate outward, inspiring others to recognize their own creative power as well.
“The mind is everything. What you think, you become.” This ancient wisdom from Buddha perfectly captures how the Law of Attraction operates in our lives. Your thoughts are not merely passive observations about reality—they are creative forces actively shaping your experience.
Honestly. Think about how often your predictions about situations come true. When you expect a difficult conversation with a loved one, doesn’t it usually unfold exactly as you anticipated? Or when you’re convinced you’ll be rejected for an opportunity, don’t you typically experience exactly that outcome? These aren’t coincidences. They’re perfect examples of how the Law of Attraction is responding with perfect precision to your thoughts and expectations.
But, don’t be hard on yourself if your thoughts haven’t attracted to you what you want. Believe me when I tell you that controlling your thoughts with intention is the most challenging part of the Law of Attraction. And that goes for everyone. This is because we have already developed our thinking patterns and beliefs. And, these thought patterns and beliefs operate 95% unconsciously. And, it is simple but challenging to change them.
Beliefs are formed based on our experiences in childhood and throughout our lives. In fact, psychologists believe that by the age of seven, most of our beliefs and habits are already formed. And sometimes those beliefs, habits, and thinking patterns work directly against our desires without us even realizing it. For example, maybe we focus on what we don’t want rather than what we do want. Or, we ruminate on past disappointments rather than visualizing our future successes. Or, we speak about our dreams in terms of “someday” rather than “now.”
To harness the Law of Attraction intentionally requires becoming conscious of these patterns and redirecting your mental and emotional energy toward what you truly desire to experience. When you focus consistently on abundance rather than scarcity, on possibilities rather than limitations, and on gratitude rather than dissatisfaction, you literally recalibrate your vibrational frequency to attract experiences to match.
Harnessing the Law of Attraction isn’t about positive thinking alone.
It’s about aligning your entire being with your desires.
Here are the essential practices that transform this universal principle from an interesting concept into a lived experience:
“I’ve tried visualization and affirmations, but nothing changed.” This is a thing I hear often from clients who have experimented with Law of Attraction practices without seeing results.
And, I can honestly say the disconnect typically happens for one fundamental reason: misalignment between conscious desires and subconscious beliefs.
Your conscious mind might be focused on attracting financial abundance, but if your subconscious holds deep-seated beliefs that “money is the root of all evil” or “wealthy people are greedy,” these underlying beliefs will override your conscious intentions every time. Because the universe says, “Well, if you don’t like money, and you think wealthy people are greedy, then you don’t want to be a wealthy person because you don’t believe you are greedy.” And it continues to send you evidence of who you believe you are.
Remember that the Law of Attraction responds not to your words or even your conscious thoughts, but to your dominant vibrational frequency, which is largely determined by your subconscious programming.
This is why superficial techniques always fall short.
True manifestation requires addressing the subconscious beliefs that often contradict your desires. Your inner alignment work certainly won’t always be comfortable, but it’s essential if you want to create the life of your dreams. To work on your inner alignment, you will be identifying and going through all of your limiting beliefs (which were formed through your experiences) and systematically replacing them with empowering alternatives that support your intentions.
The most powerful approach is to “become” your desire now, rather than waiting to receive it first.
This means embodying the energy. Make the choices that version of you would make. And take the actions that version of you would take.
When you shift your identity to align with your desire, the universe naturally rearranges itself to match this new vibrational pattern.
One of the most common misconceptions about the Law of Attraction is that it’s entirely passive—just visualize, feel good, and wait for your desires to appear. This misunderstanding leads to disappointment and skepticism about whether the law works at all.
The truth is that manifestation requires a lifelong dance between being and doing, between inner alignment and outer action. The quality that distinguishes effective action from busy-work is alignment. Aligned action flows naturally from your connection to your desire and intuitive guidance, rather than from anxiety or the need to control outcomes.
Consider the difference between these approaches:
Misaligned action comes from fear and lack. It feels forced, exhausting, and often involves pushing against resistance. For example, calling potential clients from a place of desperation about paying bills.
Aligned action emerges from inspiration and abundance. It feels energizing, almost effortless, and involves moving with a current of opportunity. For instance, reaching out to the same potential clients from a genuine desire to share how your services can benefit them.
The secret is to take action from the feeling place of already having what you desire. Meaning, when you feel abundant, your actions reflect that abundance and naturally attract more of it. And when you feel connected, your outreach creates genuine connections. This is how action and attraction work together—not as separate strategies, but as complementary aspects of the manifestation process.
Understanding the Law of Attraction intellectually is one thing; integrating it into your daily life is completely another.
But this is why consistent application matters so much…

This means that even when you’re consciously focusing on positive thoughts, your subconscious programming continues to broadcast its long-established patterns.
Which is why creating lasting change requires repetition, support, and environmental design.
