Welcome to the Blog
In a world where so many of us have lost ourselves in roles, relationships, and routines that no longer reflect who we truly are, there’s something deeply comforting about returning to timeless wisdom. Napoleon Hill’s book, ‘Think and Grow Rich’ isn’t just about accumulating wealth—it’s about reclaiming your personal power and creating the life your soul is calling you toward.
As a global certified coach at the Napoleon Hill Institute, I’ve been working with Napoleon Hill’s principles for years now, and I can tell you that these 13 steps aren’t just theoretical concepts. They’re practical tools that have helped me and countless other women I’ve coached transform their lives from the inside out. Whether you’re feeling stuck in old patterns or ready to step into your next chapter, these principles provide a roadmap for authentic success.
Here’s what makes Napoleon Hill’s approach so powerful: it recognizes that lasting change begins in your mind, not in your external circumstances. This is about shifting your inner world first, then watching as your outer world transforms to match.
Everything begins with desire. But, not the wishy-washy kind of wanting we often settle for. Here, Napoleon Hill is talking about a burning obsession, the kind of desire that consumes you in the most beautiful way. And, it starts with identifying and writing down your definite chief aim.
I love Bruce Lee’s definite chief aim because it shows exactly what this looks like: “I, Bruce Lee, will be the first highest-paid Oriental super star in the United States. In return I will give the most exciting performances and render the best of quality in the capacity of an actor. Starting 1970 I will achieve world fame, and from then onward til the end of 1980 I will have in my possession $10,000,000. I will live the way I please and achieve inner harmony and happiness.”
Notice how specific, measurable, and emotionally compelling this is? This isn’t just “I want to be successful.” This is a clear, definite statement of exactly what success looks like, when it will happen, and what he’ll give in return.
Earl Nightingale describes it perfectly with his ship analogy—a ship without a destination will drift aimlessly, but one with a clear course mapped out will reach its destination 9,999 times out of 10,000.
Your desire needs to be that definite, and that clear.
Take time this week to write your own definite chief aim. Make it specific, make it measurable, and most importantly, make it something that sets your soul on fire.
Faith isn’t just believing something might happen…
It’s that deep knowing that it will.
For me, this is where meditation and stillness become essential, even though I’ll be honest, it’s hard sometimes. That monkey mind just keeps chattering away with to-do lists and daily distractions.
One of my favorite visualization techniques comes from Dr. Joe Vitale’s time machine meditation. He has you imagine stepping into your personal time machine (mine looks like a big white fluffy chair with my name on it), and then he guides you to your successful future. But here’s the key—you don’t just see it, you feel it.
When I visualize myself at book signings, with boxes of books laid out for speaking venues, I feel that tightness in my chest from pure excitement. Sometimes I even get tears in my eyes because the emotion is so real. That’s what “feel it real” means. You’re not just watching a movie in your head; you’re experiencing it with your whole being.
The meditation then brings you back and has you think about who you’ll call, who you’ll tell, how you’ll celebrate. It makes the vision feel tangible and achievable because you’re living the full experience, not just the highlight reel.
That emotional involvement is what keeps your faith strong when challenges arise.
This is where we get practical about rewiring your subconscious mind. I practice autosuggestion daily, because I know how powerful it is when done consistently.
My favorite tool is an app called, ‘Think Up’. You can type your affirmations, record them in your own voice with background music, and then play them while you’re brushing your teeth, getting ready for bed, or doing errands. There’s something magical about hearing these truths in your own voice.
Here’s what’s interesting: after a few months of using the same recordings, I noticed they didn’t sound right anymore. I had to re-record them because my energy had elevated. My voice had more conviction, more belief. That’s growth happening in real time.
I also frequently listen to Dr. Joe Dispenza at bedtime. And, I really recommend his meditations to anyone who is looking to reprogram their subconscious mind. He has these amazing guided meditations with vibrational sounds that help embed positive programming while you sleep. Sometimes they’re affirmations like “you are a magnetic person for abundance,” and sometimes they’re deeper guided journeys.
I also want to say, don’t underestimate the power of simple journaling! My morning practice helps set conscious intentions, and my evening ritual is powerful. In the morning I write down things I am grateful for, and things I need to release. In the evening, I write down three things that went really well that day and three areas I want to work on. It’s not negative self-criticism; it’s acknowledging that we’re always works in progress while celebrating our wins.
Sometimes when I have difficult conversations or situations stuck in my head, I have tried this practice recommended to me by my spiritual advisor where I write it all down on paper, crumple it up, and set it beside my bed. The next morning, I either burn it or throw it away. It’s such a simple way to get mental clutter out of your system.
All of these are great tools to reprogram your subconscious mind, but any way you choose to go about it know this. The key is consistency. Even just 2-5 minutes of intentional auto-suggestion daily can create profound shifts over time.
Napoleon Hill makes an important distinction here: “Knowledge is not power—knowledge applied is power.” It’s not about knowing everything; it’s about having specialized knowledge that serves your specific goals and organizing others who have expertise you need.
My specialized knowledge focuses on mind, body, and spirit integration. I have certifications in wellness, Yin yoga, Feng Shui, vibrational mindset work, and Napoleon Hill coaching. But what makes it powerful is how I combine these into something unique.
Here’s how I describe my specialty: “I help women reclaim their power after years of losing themselves in roles, relationships, and routines that no longer reflect who they truly are. Using Napoleon Hill’s 17 principles and heart-centered spiritual strategies, I guide them inward to shift their mindset, ignite self-awareness, and cultivate lasting inner peace and purpose.“
That combination of Hill’s practical principles with spiritual strategies isn’t something you’ll find everywhere. That’s the power of specialized knowledge—it’s not just what you know, but how you uniquely combine and apply that knowledge.
What’s your unique combination? What knowledge do you have that, when applied in your special way, creates transformation for others?
“Whatever the mind can conceive and believe, it can achieve.” This is one of Napoleon Hill’s most famous quotes, and it captures the essence of imagination perfectly.
Every invention, every breakthrough, every innovation started as someone’s mental image. Thomas Edison created the lightbulb in his imagination first, then made it reality. When you look around your space right now, everything you see—from the paper clip holding things together on your desk to the phone in your hand—once existed only as a thought in someone’s mind.
Innovation almost always starts with noticing a problem and imagining a solution. Someone wanted to keep papers together and imagined the paper clip. Someone wanted portable communication and imagined the telephone.
Napoleon Hill talks about two types of imagination: synthetic (recombining existing ideas) and creative (connecting with infinite intelligence for truly original insights). Both are valuable, but the creative imagination is where breakthrough ideas come from.
The beautiful truth is found in the famous quote, “if there’s a will, there’s a way.” When you truly want something and engage your imagination fully, solutions begin to appear.
Here’s where many people get stuck: they have the desire and the vision, but they don’t create concrete plans. As Napoleon Hill says, “Desire without organized planning is merely wishful thinking.”
This step is also about embracing failure as education. Thomas Edison failed 10,000 times before perfecting the incandescent lightbulb, but he never saw them as failures… Instead he recognized them as learning experiences. That’s the mindset shift that changes everything.
I’ve learned that taking action while knowing failures are inevitable is liberating. When you expect the learning curve instead of fearing it, you can move forward with confidence.
My anti-overwhelm strategy is breaking everything into manageable chunks. Instead of looking at the overwhelming end result, I focus on one 90-minute work session at a time. I do one thing, then move to something else for a bit. This keeps me from getting paralyzed by the magnitude of my goals.
The key is consistent small actions over perfect planning. Done is better than perfect, and progress beats perfection every time.
Napoleon Hill observed that successful people make decisions quickly and change them slowly, if at all. Most of us do the opposite—we procrastinate on decisions and then change our minds constantly.
There’s something I call “sneaky procrastination” where you’re getting things done, but not the right things. You might be busy organizing your office when you should be making that important phone call. It feels productive, but it’s actually avoidance.
When I notice this happening, I come back to my “chunking up” strategy. Instead of telling myself I have to do everything at once, I break it down into small pieces. Often, procrastination comes from feeling overwhelmed by looking at the entire end result instead of just the next step.
Taking just 2-5 minutes to decide or take one small action can break the procrastination cycle. The compound effect of these small, consistent decisions is what creates momentum.
Most people give up at the first sign of opposition. Persistence is what separates those who achieve their goals from those who try and quit.
This is where having tools like Napoleon Hill’s Self Discipline Formula becomes crucial. Persistence isn’t just willpower—it’s about creating systems and habits that support you when motivation wanes.
Building persistence happens through small daily practices. Each time you do what you said you’d do, even when you don’t feel like it, you’re strengthening your persistence muscle. Each temporary defeat becomes a stepping stone rather than a stopping point.
The key is seeing persistence as a practice, not a personality trait. Anyone can develop it through repetition and the right support systems.

No one succeeds alone. Napoleon Hill’s mastermind principle is about creating alliances with people who complement your skills and support your vision.
Earl Nightingale had a beautiful concept he called the “invisible council.” He would mentally mastermind with historical figures—having Andrew Carnegie, Napoleon Hill, and other influences “at his table” when making decisions. When I lost my grandfather last year, I adopted this concept and started including his wisdom in my decision-making process, asking myself what he would say about different situations.
Knowing that you can create your own invisible council… Who would sit at your table?
For me, it might include Napoleon Hill, Maya Angelou, and yes, even Nicole Kidman—I’m just so drawn to her energy and presence.
But don’t just rely on invisible counselors. Real masterminds are powerful too. That’s why we have groups like the Women’s Collective for heart-centered entrepreneurs and Self Discipline Camp for structured personal development.
The magic happens when different perspectives come together—a CEO, a hairstylist, an editor, and a coach can create insights none of them would reach alone.
This might be Hill’s most misunderstood principle. He’s not talking about anything inappropriate—he’s talking about channeling your most powerful natural energy into creative and productive achievement.
Sexual energy is one of our strongest drives. When you redirect that intensity into focused work on your goals, it becomes incredibly powerful fuel for success. Both Earl Nightingale and Napoleon Hill have shared some great resources on this topic if you want to explore it further.
Practically, this means recognizing your natural energy patterns and using that intensity for creative projects. Instead of letting energy scatter, you focus it laser-like on what matters most.
It’s about staying deeply focused on tasks and maintaining that passionate intensity toward your goals.
Here’s something that I think will blow your mind: 95% of your mental activity is subconscious, and only 5% is conscious. That means most of what’s driving your behavior is happening in the background.
The problem comes when your inner self-talk doesn’t match your verbal affirmations. You might be saying “I’m going to be successful,” while your subconscious is running old programming that says “No, you’re not.”
I teach my clients to name their inner critic. Mine is called “Worble.” When that negative self-talk starts up, I simply say, “Not now, Worble” and redirect my attention. Giving your inner critic a separate personality reduces its power over you.
Some people use a rubber band on their wrist—when they catch themselves in negative self-talk, they snap it to interrupt the pattern. The goal is creating harmony between your conscious intentions and your subconscious programming.
This is where consistent auto-suggestion becomes so important. You’re literally reprogramming your mental operating system.
Napoleon Hill proposed that our brains work like radio stations, both broadcasting and receiving thoughts. When you combine thoughts with emotion, they become more powerful and can attract similar energy from others.
So, we can conclude that it is important for us to raise our frequency in order to attract other high vibrational things, and other people into our lives.
For me, I’ve found that music is one of the best ways to raise my frequency. I’ll play high-energy music before meditations to get in the right headspace—whether that’s techno, something with great lyrics, or whatever moves me that day.
You know how you can walk into a room and immediately sense the energy? If people have been gossiping or there’s tension, you feel that heavy energy. But walk into a birthday party or wedding, and you feel the celebration and love. That’s vibrational energy in action. And everyone agrees they can feel it.
Getting on your “high-flying disc,” as Abraham Hicks calls it, means consciously choosing to align with higher frequencies. It’s about being intentional with the energy you bring to each interaction, knowing it’s contagious.
This is what I call “Whispers Within Us”—all those intuitive feelings, downloads, signs, and synchronicities that guide us when we’re paying attention.
Your sixth sense shows up in so many ways: the way your body feels when someone walks in a room, sudden insights that seem to come from nowhere, dreams that provide guidance, or that gut feeling that something is right or wrong.
I teach my clients to pay attention to how things resonate. Does this person’s energy feel light or heavy? Is this opportunity making your body feel expansive or contracted? Does this decision bring peace or anxiety?
Your body is constantly giving you information. The sixth sense is about trusting that inner guidance system and learning to distinguish between fear-based reactions and love-based intuition.
When you act on these inspired insights with confidence, you’re connecting with infinite intelligence—that source of all organized knowledge that’s available to us when we’re still enough to listen.
Read these theories over and learn them. And, most importantly, apply them. Even just 2-5 minutes daily with these principles can create profound shifts over time.
Remember, this work is about progress, not perfection. You’re always a work in progress, always learning, always adjusting. And that’s not a flaw! That’s the beauty of being human and committed to growth.
The compound effect of these practices working together is what creates transformation. As you develop your desire, strengthen your faith, program your subconscious, and connect with your inner guidance, you become magnetic for the opportunities and people that align with your purpose.
While these principles are powerful, implementing them consistently isn’t always straightforward. We’re all shaped by patterns established over years—some of which may no longer serve us but remain stubbornly in place.
This is where community becomes invaluable. Just as every successful person has mentors and support systems, having guidance on your journey can accelerate your growth and help you navigate inevitable obstacles.
If you’re ready to dive deeper into this work, I’d love to invite you to explore our mastermind communities:
