Welcome to the Blog

I had never thought much about the whispers within. Until, a few years ago, when I was sitting in my apartment after my divorce, staring out a window that overlooked a river, wondering what on earth was next for me. I didn’t have a plan. But, I found peace in what I did have – a quiet little space I had carved out for myself, a journal, and a whole lot of uncertainty (or, opportunity).
At that time, I never even knew I would write a book.
So, I never could have imagined that I would stand in Times Square under a billboard with my face on it, or sit down for a television interview to talk about it.
But what I’ve learned, (and what I hope you take from all this) is that anything and everything can happen for you when you decide to listen to and follow the whispers within you. 🫶
When I decided to follow the whispers within me, I didn’t set out to become an author. That was never part of the plan, because honestly, I didn’t have a plan. What I had was an inner nudge that kept getting louder. I knew I was supposed to be working on something, but it took a while for me to realize what that was exactly.
“Whispers Within Us”, was a message that kept coming through in my journaling, in my meditations, in the quiet moments when I actually got still enough to listen.
So, when I finally decided to take action on it, I thought, “Okay, I’m going to write a book about this”. So I did. And it took over a year, and a lot of my focus and heart.
But I was so grateful for the entire process. Because it allowed me to reflect on times in my life that I hadn’t thought about in so long, and dive deeper into the concepts and lessons that the Universe was constantly sharing with me.
I published Whispers Within Us in November, and am so happy with how it turned out. It is a book about intuition, inner knowing, and the subtle signs and signals that are trying to guide us every single day. It’s about learning to slow down in a world that never stops moving, and to trust the quiet voice inside you that has been telling you the truth all along.
And the reason I wrote it is because I truly lived it. Every word in that book came from a real moment, a real sign, a real redirection that my higher power sent me when I was too stuck or too scared or too busy to see it coming.
And now, that book is taking me places I never could have imagined when I was sitting by that river window wondering what was next.
Sitting down with Logan Crawford was one of those moments where I just felt aligned. The conversation flowed, the questions were thoughtful, and I got to talk about the things I care about most.
Here are some of the things we dug into together:
The inner voice that most of us ignore. Logan asked me about those little voices, those inner conversations we have with ourselves, and what I think they actually are. And my answer is the same every time: they’re your higher power. Whatever that looks like to you — God, the Universe, the divine, Buddha — it doesn’t matter what you call it. What matters is that guidance is coming through every single day, and most of us are moving too fast to hear it.
When we get on the wrong path, we get redirected. When we’re not listening, we keep getting presented with the same lessons over and over again until we do. Sound familiar? I know it does for me.
My own tower moment, and what happened after. After 22 and a half years of marriage, I went through a divorce. And for two weeks after we signed the papers, I was in a dark place. I was barely getting out of bed and just going through the motions. I felt like I was just existing. Life was really getting me down.
Until one morning when I caught myself in the mirror brushing my teeth and something shifted. It was like a light switched on. And I heard it — clear as anything — “That’s enough. Get it together. Let’s move forward.”
In that moment, my higher power was redirecting me toward the self-development journey I was always meant to go on. Everything I did after that point was about reclaiming my life, my power, and reconnecting with my true self. I took a yoga teacher training, I began my coaching business, and I wrote my book — none of it would have happened without that moment in the mirror. None of it would have happened if I hadn’t listened to the whispers.
Signs, symbols, and synchronicities (and how to start noticing them). This is one of my favorite things to talk about because I think people are more open to it than they realize. During our discussion, Logan shared that when his wife’s father passed, there were butterflies everywhere around their home, and she felt certain it was her father letting her know he was okay.
And I told him — yes. One hundred percent. Because, butterflies mean transformation. And he had transformed. He was coming through essentially to say, “I’m in a good place. Don’t worry about me”.
Signs and synchronicities like these show up in so many ways. Animals that appear repeatedly. Songs that come on the radio at exactly the right moment. A single phrase that catches your attention and won’t let go. Even your body, the way it tightens when something isn’t right, or the way it opens up and feels light and excited when something is.
We’re surrounded by opportunities to receive these messages. We just have to slow down enough to receive them.
The one thing that blocks most people from hearing their whispers. This is where I want to be honest with you, because I think it matters. Most people aren’t ignoring their inner guidance on purpose. They either just don’t know what it is, or they’re moving so fast that they can’t hear it. Our world is loud. The media alone puts so much into our heads every single day, and a lot of it pulls our energy down and keeps us distracted from the quiet things that are actually trying to reach us.
The answer is simpler than a perfect meditation practice or hours of silence. It can be as simple as a walk in nature with your phone left at home. Turning off the noise for twenty minutes and just noticing what’s around you. The wildlife, the plants, the sky, and the feelings moving through your body.
The point is, getting still doesn’t have to look like anything in particular. It just has to be intentional.
What happens when you stop fighting the redirection. Logan asked me whether I believe in coincidences, and my honest answer is no. I don’t. I believe we are being guided, and sometimes what looks like an inconvenience or a delay or a disappointment is actually our higher power saying, “Not that way — this way.”
When we’re on the right path and things are unfolding with ease, that’s confirmation. When we’re fighting it every step of the way, that’s the redirection. And the sooner we stop fighting and start listening, the sooner life gets lighter and begins to flow.
When Logan asked me what I hope readers feel when they finish Whispers Within Us, I told him the truth.
I hope they slow down. I hope that the next time a fox runs across the road in front of them, or a butterfly lands nearby, or a song comes on the radio at just the right moment, they pause. They pay attention to it, and ask themselves what it might mean.
Because I am a strong believer that from the moment we are born, our path is already made for us. And the whispers are all there to help us find it and stay on it.
As I said, I never planned to write a book. I never planned to launch it in Times Square. I never planned to be on television talking about it.
But I followed the whispers. And with one small step at a time, they led me exactly where I was always supposed to be.
That’s what’s available to you too. You just have to get still enough to listen.
